I figured that I would take a different approach to blogging and talk about other apps that other people have made as well as talk about Apple in general.
For this review, the game The Simpsons: Tapped Out is the game that I felt needed a review, so please continue after the break for that review.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is not a new kind of game, infanct the game makes fun of the idea of that kind of gameplay in the opening sequence. The game is a (as Homer puts it) 'tap and wait' game. You tell people to do jobs, then they finish those jobs in a few hours real time. The thing that gives this game its appeal is the level of creativity it contains.
What kind of creativity? Well, for starters, the fact that the game is based on The Simpsons and that it contains original artwork and design from the writers and drawers of the animated series. Another reason is because of how the game is played. While similar to other 'tap and wait' games out there, this game allows you to build Springfield from the ground up and place decorations and buildings wherever you want.
This game, whether you watch The Simpsons or not, is a great time killer for anyone that is willing to wait a few hours between game-plays. Just make sure to do something between those hours instead of watching your Springfield!
